So close so near

What do you think would happen to us

if we were lost and scared?

So vulnerable, so weak and blind,

When no one would even care

How frustrated one can be about one's safety

that only our God can provide

How will we reach the top when all

are blind-folded at the bottom of the hillside?

The Lord has mercy and love and compassion

for all that serve His name

And one by one He will rid of the dark

and show He loves us the same

Now most of the people have regained their consciousness

most people have regained their sight

They strive for the hilltop they strive so hard

even though it is painful to fight

A young woman's strength to fight to win

to overcome to be

With strength comes weakness but don't let it get to you

and your will to fight and be free

Like eagles soaring high above the clouds

like rays gliding in the sea

With the Lord I will be even more beautiful than ever

I will be more like me

I once felt lost and scared and weak

and vulnerable and frustrated

I once felt the need to please everyone

if I didn't I'd feel hated

Then a friend had appeared whose blind-fold was gone

and slowly she removed mine

So close so near she's almost there

so soon I know I'd be fine

She's almost there I know she is

I know she can get through me

I know she's the one that can bring me back

I know she can make me see

That the Lord has a plan a plan to prosper

but first we must go through a trial

A trial we will win over a trial into a triumph

and one day we will be free from denial

We'll be free from frustration vulnerability and fear

we'll know where we are and stay strong

We'll stay in love with the Lord our God

and sing for Him this song
